RS&A Announces Acquisition of Summit Imaging

Rural Hall, NC – October 27, 2022 – RS&A, LLC (“RSA”), an established medical device independent service provider (“ISP”) for radiotherapy (RT) equipment, most notably external beam linear accelerators (“LINACs”), announced today its acquisition of Summit Imaging (“Summit”).

Founded in 2006, Summit Imaging is a tech-enabled provider of medical imaging equipment repair, refurbishment, and exchange services to healthcare facilities, independent service organizations and OEMs across North America, primarily focused on ultrasound and mammography. Summit’s deep industry expertise, technical capabilities and proprietary software solutions perfectly complement RSA’s existing service offering and will augment their collective ability to deliver critical support to their healthcare customers.

The combined entity will be a stronger, more diversified organization providing high-value services across multiple modalities resulting in a sustainable (eco-friendly) parts infrastructure, improved system performance, reduced costs related to mission-critical healthcare equipment, and expanded access to RT treatments.

“The entire Summit team and I are elated about our partnership with DJ and the RSA team,” said Larry Nguyen, the Founder of Summit, and newly appointed CIO of RSA. “Our teams are fundamentally aligned in our cultural values, our commitment to our clients, and our desire to deliver the highest-quality services in direct support of healthcare providers, and the service community to improve patient care.”

“We could not be more excited to partner with Larry, and the entire team at Summit Imaging as we continue building RSA into a premier, national ISP,” adds RSA CEO DJ Conrad. “The acquisition meaningfully expands RSAs capabilities and reach. We will immediately be able to leverage Summit’s differentiated technical capabilities across our collective customer base to improve medical equipment uptime, performance and the overall delivery of care for our customers.”

RSA Is Proud to Announce ISO 9001:2015 Certification

RSA is excited to announce that they have been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification, an internationally recognized standard that ensures their products and services meet or exceed the needs of clients through an effective quality management system (QMS).

    Your Patients = Our Priority

For over 25-years, we have been supporting the oncology community through responsive, personable, and proactive maintenance of radiotherapy equipment used in the treatment of cancer patients. As part of our commitment, we elected to establish a QMS and have it independently certified in alignment with the ISO 9001:2015 standard. The objective of our QMS is to deliver quality goods and services in a controlled, process-driven, and measurable system with a relentless focus on continuous improvement.

To become ISO 9001:2015 compliant, RSA underwent an extensive company-wide audit performed by Advantage International Registrar, an ANAB accredited certifying body.

We are committed to our clients and their patients above everything else – Patient Focused. Quality Driven. We are continually evaluating performance to ensure that our QMS is delivering the results that our clients need and promoting a culture of continual improvement. Together, we are having a lasting and positive impact on the linac service community.

DJ Conrad, President at RSA, said, “Achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification is a proud moment for our organization. We started this journey 25-years ago with one engineer, one salesperson, and one trusting client. We now find ourselves with an opportunity to expand our role and impact within the oncology industry, helping to drive improvements in the way equipment is serviced and connecting the service community. I am sincerely grateful and excited to be part of our team.”

We sincerely appreciate the commitment by our team and the trust from our clients to be part of the patient treatment experience.
