Rural Hall, NC – October 27, 2022 – RS&A, LLC (“RSA”), an established medical device independent service provider (“ISP”) for radiotherapy (RT) equipment, most notably external beam linear accelerators (“LINACs”), announced today its acquisition of Summit Imaging (“Summit”).

Founded in 2006, Summit Imaging is a tech-enabled provider of medical imaging equipment repair, refurbishment, and exchange services to healthcare facilities, independent service organizations and OEMs across North America, primarily focused on ultrasound and mammography. Summit’s deep industry expertise, technical capabilities and proprietary software solutions perfectly complement RSA’s existing service offering and will augment their collective ability to deliver critical support to their healthcare customers.

The combined entity will be a stronger, more diversified organization providing high-value services across multiple modalities resulting in a sustainable (eco-friendly) parts infrastructure, improved system performance, reduced costs related to mission-critical healthcare equipment, and expanded access to RT treatments.

It is the established market leader for the supply of medical magnetrons, thyratrons and solid-state modulators in radiotherapy systems: vital components for generating the microwave power required for the radiation treatment of tumours. These products will now be available through RSA in the Americas and distributed exclusively in South America by Invita Medical.
